Anxioussss!

It’s been just over a week since I mailed off my JET application and I still can’t stop thinking about it! It’s mainly because I have FINALS and procrastination makes me think about and do things I normally can’t be bothered to. Another point added to my ihatefinals list…

I’m almost sure the people at the embassy just wants to tinker with our emotions and play with our heads.

Sometimes things will work themselves out…<3

I’m finally in the last year (5 months!!!!!) of my undergrad and I’m finally feeling that all the frustration, anger, tiredness, all-nighters spent writing essays that are absolutely irrelevant to your life, and every single drop of sweat spent are completely worth it!!

I just applied for the JET Programme this year to run away from school and teach English in Japan for one year. I always considered JET to be an option, but wasn’t sure if I would actually pursue it. To be blatantly honest, the moment I set my mind on JET, I was squished together with 12 other people and a massive cow on the back of a pickup truck coming out of a village in Kenya. Bad time to make a big decision? Not to moi. Looking back, I realized that all the major decisions I’ve made in life come from a sudden strong feeling in moment of seconds and those are the decisions I unwaveringly follow through the rest of my time. Volunteering in Africa, studying math, and aspiring in education are some of the things I decided in these moments.

SO, I’ve been RIDICULOUSLY anxious since I dropped my application off at the post office last week. The fact that competition is INTENSE in Vancouver is not very reassuring. However, last Friday when the application was due, the following messages were posted on the Canadian JET facebook page:

The Canadian online application period for the JET Programme has now closed. Thank you for your interest in the JET Programme this year.

and then 3 mintues later…

The JET deadline has been extended until Tuesday, November 29th!

Say whaaaat?! Got my fingers crossed that the second message was posted because they don’t have enough applicants = MORE CHANCES FOR ME! :)

Either way, since 2 years ago (after a particular crazy rollercoaster emotional event), my life has really been coming together and things work themselves out amazingly well. A few months from now, I can finally do the things and live the life I’ve only dream of since 10 years ago. I’ve discovered so many opportunities, I don’t even know where to start! Well, actually I do…kind of. I’ll be discuss other options once I pass my finals!

Somethings things really do assemble themselves when you focus on achieving the things you love
